All NWA Cargo account holders will automatically become Delta Cargo account holders. Delta Cargo account numbers will be required for credit shipments on and after November 8, 2009, and 012 air waybills will be replaced by 006 air waybills.

Existing U.S.-based, previously NWA Cargo-only customers are being notified of their new Delta Cargo account numbers by mail. Non-U.S. based, previously NWA Cargo-only account holders are being informed of their new Delta Cargo account numbers by the local sales offices.

Customers holding both NWA Cargo and Delta Cargo accounts should use their Delta Cargo account numbers for all shipments on and after November 8 since their NWA Cargo accounts will be deactivated. Existing Delta Cargo account holders will not be affected by these changes.

Paper 006 air waybills in limited quantities are available at local Delta Cargo stations. Should you require larger 006 paper air waybill stock, please contact your account manager or email Standard Register.

Known Shipper

To ship on Delta, customers must be known shippers. To be verified as a known shipper, submit this request form so we can provide you with the information you'll need. There may be a $60 non-refundable processing fee.


Depending on your geographical location, the process in which customers are billed may change.

In the U.S., CNS members and existing Delta Cargo customers will continue to be billed as usual. Previously NWA Cargo-only customers who are not CNS members will automatically receive paper bills unless they sign up for electronic billing (eBilling). Delta Cargo recommends all its verified US customers to register for eBilling. Registration is free. Click here.

Delta Cargo’s international customers may be billed in a variety of methods, depending on the country. Local sales offices can advise any changes to billing for affected customers.

Customers shipping on the Northwest network both prior to November 8 and after should expect to receive multiple invoices based on billing cycles as we transition the processes & services. All invoices are subject to normal conditions of payment.
