Temporary Embargo to Lagos and Abuja
Due to the regulation requiring an electronic manifest for Nigeria customs, Delta Cargo is temporarily unable to accept any freight for transportation to Lagos, Nigeria (LOS) and Abuja, Nigeria (ABV). Mail is not affected by the embargo. This embargo on the carriage of freight to Nigeria will remain in place until further notice. Please continue to check www.deltacargo.com for further updates.
Cargo Claims
Delta Cargo Claims is in the process of upgrading to a new claim management system. At this time, the upgrade does not affect our WEB content, so you will not see any changes regarding on-line claim submissions. However, we ask for your patience as we transfer existing claim files and set up new claim files in the system; our response time to your claim inquiries may be delayed. We look forward to improved response time in the near future!

Delta Cargo has been working to ensure that the transition to 100% screening on August 1, 2010, goes as smoothly as possible. We will enhance our existing acceptance/check-in procedures for all shipments with regard to the 100% Screening requirements, Weight and dimension validation, and AWB Completion. - August 1 100% Screening Mandate

As you know, in 2007, Congress passed the "Implementing Recommendations of the 9/11 Commission Act," more commonly referred to as the 9/11 Act. This new law mandated that all cargo transported on a passenger aircraft be screened for explosives by August 1, 2010. This summer, 100 percent screening will become a reality for all businesses.
