Shipping DASH

Packages must meet strict size and weight requirements to be shipped via DASH. In addition, depending on the weight, you must deliver the package to a specified airport location. To find out about rate basis, restrictions, and airport facilities, please read below.

Rate Basis

Delta DASH rates are based, per individual piece, on three weight ranges:

  • 1 to 50 pounds
  • 51 to 70 pounds
  • 71 to 100 pounds

Package Size and Weight

DASH shipments are restricted by dimensions and weight.

  • Dimensions (length + width + height) for any single piece may not exceed 90 inches.
  • Combined package(s) may not weigh more than 100lbs.

DASH shipments may contain multiple pieces and the appropriate charge is applied separately for each piece. Each DASH piece is subject to a maximum declared value of $750.

Pickup and Delivery

Due to weight limitations on DASH shipments, you are required to bring your shipments to the following drop-off points:

  • Dedicated Delta DASH facility
    Under 70lbs at a dedicated Delta DASH facility, if available. If the airport has no dedicated Delta DASH facility, bring your package(s) to the local Delta Cargo facility.

  • Delta Cargo facility
    DASH shipments containing a single piece or pieces that weighs more than 70lbs must be delivered to and picked up at the local Delta Cargo facility.

Shipments must be dropped off one hour prior to scheduled flight departure and may be picked up at the destination one hour after flight arrival. Facility hours, however, vary by city. Please contact your local DASH office for hours of operation or call 800-352-2746.

Note: We will refund 50% of the shipment price if we do not transport the DASH shipment on the designated flight with the exception of delays caused by mechanical or weather conditions.
