Tom Olson

Tom Olson, Director-Cargo Strategy and Operations, has over 28 years of management experience in the Air Cargo and Express Logistics Industry and joined Delta on May 5, 2008.

Tom recently served as the Vice President of Strategic Hub Projects for DHL. Prior to his tenure with DHL, Tom held multiple positions at Emery Worldwide, now part of UPS, including the Sr. Director of Hub Operations.

Over the past two months Tom has led the Atlanta Gateway team through a series of process improvement initiatives aimed at improving International and Domestic connectivity and has facilitated the implementation of Delta's Pet First, Perishables, and Customer Resolution Center projects as well as managed the piloting of a new scanning platform to provide shipment level tracking and increased customer visibility through the ATL Hub and the Delta Network.

Tom's previous duties have included the management of national and regional hubs throughout North America, oversight of more than 4,000 employees in a combined air and ground network, and development and implementation of technology solutions for track and trace scanning, weight and balance, and traffic management systems.
