Asif Jalil, Managing Director-Cargo Finance and Revenue Management, rejoined Delta on April 14, 2008.
Asif leads the budgeting and forecasting, long-term planning, and financial analysis for the Delta Cargo division. His responsibilities also include oversight of revenue management, capacity planning, and performance management.
Since rejoining the company, Asif has continued the process of establishing revenue management expertise in the Cargo division. This has included expanding and restructuring his team, both in terms of talent and scope, and leading the implementation of a state-of-the-art cargo revenue management system. He also plays a key leadership role in managing the integration efforts between Delta and Northwest Airlines. Finally, he has improved financial reporting and discipline and secured key corporate investments required to drive the Cargo business forward.
Asif originally joined Delta in 1999 and worked several years in the Finance organization supporting Delta.com, Reservations, Sales & Distribution, and Consumer Marketing. He served as Managing Director-Financial Planning in his last role before leaving Delta in 2006 to join Starwood Hotels.
Asif began his professional career at Booz Allen and spent five years at Sabre before coming to Delta. He is a graduate of Williams College and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago.
