1) How to Enter

No purchase or donation required, visit United Way to enter. You must then create a username & password and provide the following contact information: first and last name, email address, and home address. You must agree to release your information to the local United Way that corresponds with your zip code who may reach out to you with regard to local community activities. Next you will be prompted to click the Register Now link. You must select the option to make a donation to United Way or choose not to donate. All donations will be directed to the local United Way that corresponds with the zip code you provide.

2) Start and End Dates

The United Way LIVE UNITED sweepstakes begins on September 1, 2011 and ends March 1, 2012.

3) Eligibility Requirements

You must be 18 years of age or older to enter. Open to legal residents of the United States and District of Columbia. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited. United Way staff and the immediate members of their families are ineligible to participate in the sweepstakes. All federal and local laws and regulations apply, and the winner is solely responsible for any applicable taxes or fees.

4) Limitations on Entries by Person

Only one entry is permitted per person per month.

5) Odds of Winning

Each entry has an equal chance to win the United Way LIVE UNITED Sweepstakes, and the odds of winning are dependent upon the number of entries per month.

6) Description of Prize

The winner(s) will receive 2 roundtrip Economy Class tickets on Delta Air Lines that will expire on October 1, 2012 and can be used for travel within the U.S. 48 States. Approximate retail value of each prize is $1,200.00.

Ticket prizes will be awarded in the form of Certificates that may be redeemed for round-trip Economy Class travel on Delta from the airports served by Delta that are closest to the winners’ homes. Any transportation that is unclaimed, is not awarded or is otherwise not used by the travel completion date specified will be forfeited. Certificate seats are limited and may not be available on all flights or in all markets. Certificates are non-transferable, are not redeemable for cash and are void if sold or bartered. The sale or barter of tickets obtained through redemption of Certificates is also prohibited. Any tickets obtained through such sale or barter are void and will not be honored for travel. After ticketing, date, time and routing changes are permitted (subject to the availability booking class), however, a $150 fee applies. For travel within the U.S., based on availability, passengers holding confirmed reservations and tickets may confirm earlier/later same-day flight within 3 hours from scheduled departure time between same origin/destination for a non-refundable fee of $50 USD. Certificates do not include a $3.70 Federal Excise Tax and the September 11th Security Fee of up to $2.50, which will be imposed on each flight segment in the passenger’s ticketed itinerary. A flight segment is defined as a takeoff and a landing. There is a $25 USD fee for 1 checked bag and $35 USD fee for second checked bag. There is an additional 15 USD* surcharge for the second bag when checking in via ticket counter, kiosk, or curbside. These taxes and fees are subject to change, are the responsibility of the passenger and (except for bag fees) must be paid at the time the ticket is booked. Any taxes, fees, or changes paid at the time of ticket issuance will be refunded if ticket is not used. However, once redeemed, Certificates are void and will have no further value. Certificate travel will not qualify for SkyMiles mileage. Stopovers/Upgrades/Waitlisting/Open Returns are not permitted for tickets booked with Certificates. Lost, stolen or otherwise destroyed Certificates will not be replaced. Schedules are subject to change without notice. Additional restrictions may apply. It is the responsibility of the passenger to be in possession of all necessary documentation (e.g., valid passport, visa where applicable) at the time and place of departure. Delta reserves the right to deny boarding to any passengers without proper documentation.

7) Selection of the Prize Winner

One winner will be determined for each month of the contest, September 1, 2011 – March 1, 2012 by random drawing to be held within a week following the day of each month during the contest. Winners will be notified within five (5) days after the selection is made via email or other form of communication at Sponsor's discretion. All prizes will be awarded, provided they are claimed properly.

8) Restrictions on Receiving the Prize

An individual may only win once within the contest time period, September 1, 2011 – March 1, 2012. Fees apply to change of ticket date. The winner agrees that his/her name and likeness may be used for advertising and/or publicity purposes by the Sweepstakes Sponsor.

Conditions

By entering the Sweepstakes, each participant agrees to release and hold Sponsor and employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives of the Sponsor, and legal advisors harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims, and actions of any kind in connection with the Sweepstakes or resulting from acceptance of the prize, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy. By entering, each participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or cancel Sweepstakes at any time if a computer virus, bug, tampering, unauthorized intervention, or other technical problem of any sort corrupts the administration, security or proper play of the Sweepstakes. Sponsor also reserves the right to disqualify, in its sole discretion, any persons tampering with the entry process, the operation of the website or email system, or who is otherwise in violation of the rules.

Winner List

A list of the winners may be obtained by sending a self-addressed stamped #10 business envelope within 6 months of the conclusion of the promotion to Live United Winners, United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta, 100 Edgewood Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30303.
