Responsible for strategy, design and administration of Delta’s retirement, life insurance and optional insurance programs. Will be required to understand the financial impact and legal framework of these plans and ensure the plans are operated in compliance with applicable regulations, which requires effective coordination with other Delta departments, as well as outside vendors. Will be responsible for developing and presenting to management recommendations for improvements and/or changes to Delta’s benefit programs. Responsible for relationship with outside vendors including record keepers, administrators, actuaries, etc. Responsible for successful outcomes of large scale projects such as implementation of new benefit plans, vendor transitions, and retirement windows. Serve as retirement representative on cross-divisional teams working on initiatives that impact Delta’s benefit programs. Ensure retirement benefits meet corporate goals and objective for benefit delivery, while also meeting financial objectives. Responsible for contributing to efforts to communicate benefit plans effectively, clearly and simply.
