Job Summary

Responsible for processing any combination of the following transactions: check cashing; deposits; withdrawals; consumer, real estate, and other loan payments; drafts, traveler's checks and Visa gift checks. Must be able to sell credit union services that best meet the member's financial needs and provide members with courteous and prompt attention. Performs the functions of a Teller to include initiating interaction with members, cross selling of products, resolving problems and answering questions. Ability to maintain good member relations. Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • One year customer service or cash handling experience required.
  • Strong communication, sales, and customer service skills.
  • Candidate should be sales and goal oriented.
  • Should have the ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one situation to members and other employees of the organization.
  • Should have the ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructions.
  • Should have the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Should possess basic level of proficiency in MS Word, Windows and Excel.
  • Should possess working knowledge of MS Outlook and MS Explorer.
  • Should possess a basic understanding of accounting.
  • Must be proficient in using computer keyboard.
  • Should possess good organizational skills and be detail oriented.
  • Should be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers 8 hours a day.
  • Must be able to sit/stand approximately 8 hours a day.
  • Must be able to lift/carry/push up to 50 pounds daily.
  • Must be flexible in relieving multiple branch offices in the Atlanta area.
