Job Summary

Customer Service Agents may be placed into any of the job functions listed below in certain cities.

Gates & Ticket Counter

This position performs a variety of duties related to passenger ticketing, ramp operations and cargo sales and service. Specific functions, tasks and departments will vary depending upon the location and operational requirements. Ticketing duties can include making reservations for passengers and performing activities necessary to board and deplane passengers. Gates and Ticket Counter cargo duties may include accepting, delivering, and handling cargo shipments including preparing paperwork; collecting funds and receipts; and lifting and transporting shipments to/from loading equipment.

Ramp

This position performs a variety of duties related to ramp operations. Duties include expeditious lifting and transporting of baggage, mail, and cargo to/from loading equipment at the aircraft, and operating tow tractors for the push back of aircraft in a fast pace and dynamic environment. Specific functions, tasks, and departments will vary depending upon the location and operational requirements.

Crown Room Club®

Performs a variety of customer service oriented duties within the Club, such as issuing rapid redemption upgrades, boarding passes, future reservations, resolving customer complaints, and providing a high level of quality customer service to our elite flyers. Positive communication with customers as well as other departments within Delta. Willingness to serve alcoholic beverages and to maintain the club's appearance. Specific functions, tasks, and departments may vary or be added depending upon the location and operational requirements.

Air Logistics

This position performs a variety of duties which may include regular, in-person customer contact. Responsible for the booking, pricing, acceptance/delivery and safe handling of cargo/mail shipments according to regulations and company standards including: preparation of paperwork, collection of funds and receipts, satisfaction of customers, and the lifting, sorting and transporting of freight to/from loading equipment. Responsible for using cargo computer programs to book, track and trace freight, including the processing of customs documents. May be required to answer telephone customer inquiries, and may be responsible for the direction and routing of shipments.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Required to pass a pre-employment physical agility test.
  • Required to undergo a fingerprint-based, FBI criminal history records check.
  • Required to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must be passionate about providing outstanding customer service.
  • Type 30 wpm for Ticket Counter/Passenger Boarding Gates.

Benefits

Interested candidates must be willing to work 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Successful candidates will be paid during training.

Schedules

Part-time work schedules are less than 40-hours per week, with a minimum work schedule of 20-hours per week. All Customer Service Agents within a location/department bid for available shifts which are then awarded according to company length of service within the employee's bid classification.
